Since 1969, this manuscript has been kept in the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University.

Because of its many mysteries, it has featured in TV shows, books, music, and even video games.

What book am I talking about you ask, The Voynich Manuscript.

This script is full of illustrations consisting of strange, yet colorful drawings, odd objects, and unidentified symbols. Carbon dating suggests that is is over 600 yrs. old. It was probably compiled in the early 14-15th century during the Italian Renaissance.

Two hundred plus pages consist of illustrations of plants, floating heads, signs of the Zodiac, fantastic creatures( including dragons), castles, women bathing, and astronomical symbols.

This book has passed hands for many years. It belonged to the Holy Roman Emporer Rudolf the 2nd and probably it is said, John Dee, the infamous astrologer at British Queen Elizabeth the first’s court.

For those of you interested this manuscript has yet to be translated as the language has yet to be determined.
