I often wondered when I would see the word Innate, what it actually meant and if there were other words that meant the same thing that were more sensible to use. Well, I did find a few.

How much of our personality is innate? There are scientists that estimate 20 to 60% of temperment is determined by genetics. Instinct is important because there is no risk of an incorrect behavior being learned. It is hard-wired into the system.
My reasoning behind this word and what everyone should understand when looking around us at others is that we ALL have an innate tendency to classify those around us into definite categories, creating a foundation for exclusion.
Our insticts arise from tendencies that exist in our minds at birth. It’s a natural impulse by which we (as humans), and animals are guided independent of reason or experiences. Ex. Escape, Defensive Maneuvers, and aggression.
When defining one simple word I learned what my instictive nature can do to myself and others around me.
